According to the report, the first cases of the flu in Mexico took place more than a month ago, which is further evidence that the virus is slow-spreading. During a meeting of European Union ministers in Luxemburg, a decision was made against the notion of a travel ban to Mexico. Travellers are checked medically before being allowed to embark on the ferry from La Ceiba. There is a Google map you can check on the flu.
Oh what a day! Yesterday first a great dive on CJ s dropoff, beautiful viz at a 1000 feet / 300m wall, then jumping in the water with two whale sharks, looking left seiing a manta and two reefsharks, hohoho. An unforgettable day for many divers. Great job, Captain Cookie!
Hi Kim...
Kim from Canada, eh! Was once in the music business living in England until she discovered her passion for diving. With many dives under her belt in the surrounding areas around the Caribbean and Canada she has founded a spot to settle with us here at Cross Creek in Utila. She is a Master Scuba Diver Trainer and can teach many of the specialties PADI has to offer! She is a very patient and caring instructor and can even make the most nervous divers feel safe underwater.
Morna had been travelling around South and Central America for a year when she landed on Utila to meet friends and Fun Dive. She never left...She joined our Instructor team in January and has dived in the Red Sea, Colombia and the Galapagos. She still refuses to dive in the cold despite persuasion from friends at home in Scotland. She welcomes the return of the Whaleshark and looks forward to many more encounters with these beautiful creatures after some amazing experiences with them.
Yes, they are back! The last two days days we've been snorkelling with several different whale sharks on both morning and afternoon dive trips. And right before Lighthouse Reef, we swam with dolphins after our whale shark encounter. Thanks a million Captain McCain!
